“Year of the Pig” with Mister Sizzle’s, Buffalo Food Otaku and Family Meal Hospitality Trust – Buffalo Rising

Did you know there is a delicious and easy way to support workers in the struggling restaurant industry at WNY? In order to provide additional relief, thelocal food bloggers Joe Leta and Sadie – owners of Buffalo Otaku – have partnered with Mister Sizzle’s chef Jason Ramos, to create a signature burger. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the “Year of the Hog” burger – a homemade spicy pork burger with miso mayonnaise, shiitake mushrooms, crispy onions and shredded lettuce with a side dish of homemade Furikake fries – will go to the hospitality of the family meal. Confidence. The local nonprofit is in place to help struggling restaurant industry workers, providing assistance and community resources when they need it most.

the The Year of the Pork and Furikake house fries are available throughout January. To accompany the meal, bartender Troy Cloutier has created a “Japanese Manhattan”, with iinfused rye whiskey, white miso, brown butter, dry vermouth and anise syrup with Thai basil.
