Presentation of ‘Buffalo Food Tours’ – Buffalo Rising

A visit to the Globe Market

Buffalo Food Tours was started by Adam Sandecki as a way to introduce people to restaurants, food and drink, and the different communities of WNY.

Sandecki had the idea to start Buffalo Food Tours while living in Madrid, Spain. His love for food led him to believe that people would enjoy “food tourism” in his hometown, just like in other cities around the world.

After spending several years abroad and living in New York City, Sandecki felt it was time to pack his passions in a way that would have a direct impact on Buffalo. He begins by introducing “a Food Walking Tour ‘based in the village of Elmwood. The tour includes history, culture, food and drink.

Many of us take places like Elmwood Village for granted because we live nearby or frequent businesses and establishments. But there are countless people who aren’t so familiar with the ever-changing landscape of the shopping district. The same concept applies to many other trade corridors.

Sandecki says he’s excited to be starting the travel business and encourages people to come and learn a thing or two. Food tourism is a great way to experience a neighborhood in a more intimate way.

“I’ve always wanted to do something around food and my love to talk about it,” says Sandecki. “When I got the idea, I noticed that there was nothing like it in the city. No matter where I’ve traveled, I’ve always told people about Buffalo food and what I’ve missed the most. Now I can show people around some of the new places, as well as some of the classics. I hope to provide customers with a fun and interesting experience while enjoying delicious Buffalo food. Visitors will stop at around 6 local establishments to eat / drink small bites and learn a bit more about the wonderful history, culture, and of course, the food of Buffalo. Elmwood is the perfect place to start this… and then we’ll go from there.
