In the works for five years, Hofbrauhaus Buffalo has an official opening date.
âIt is with a confidence tempered by the patience and prudence learned over the past year,â a post on the restaurant’s website said, âthat we officially announce: Hofbrauhaus Buffalo will open in August 2019. “
In December, operating partner Kevin Townsell was still looking for a few more investors. The work visible on the facade of 190 Scott Street had stopped for months.
“Today, a major financial obstacle is officially behind us, and work will resume for the completion of exterior and interior construction,” said the statement released on May 15.
The extensive German-style brewery franchise is known for its home-brewed German-style beers and classic German fare like cutlets, sausage, and spaetzle. It should hold 500 customers inside and 300 outside, in an outdoor cafe setting.
âThe rest of the brewery equipment will be shipped soon and should arrive from Bavaria in about 8 weeks, after which the installation process will begin immediately. While the brewery is being set up and the building is nearing completion, we will be in the middle of a hire. and a training blitz to prepare our staff for the opening. “
