The Buffalo Bills suddenly have a neck-and-neck battle with the New England Patriots over who will win the AFC East in 2021.
The Patriots won Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and are now 8-4 – half a game ahead of the Bills 7-4. The Patriots are one of the few teams in the league that hasn’t had their week off yet, so they still have a game in hand against Buffalo.
The Bills host the Patriots for Monday Night Football next week at Highmark Stadium. The kick-off will be given at 8:20 p.m.
If the Bills win, they will be ahead of New England by half a game. If the Patriots win, they will lead Buffalo by a game and a half; so, this game is obviously very important for both teams.
Bill Belichick is still the head coach of the Patriots (21), and he was a guest this morning on WEEI radio in Boston and was asked about Bills Mafia and how they see him.
Belichick doesn’t usually give you funny or interesting answers, but his comments were funny and made Bills fans precise.
I mean, he’s not wrong – Bills Mafia certainly won’t be sending Belichick a Christmas card this holiday season, to say the least.
The Patriots will start rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who is likely the frontrunner to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The Patriots offense hasn’t been dominant, but they had a good running game and their defense is playing like one of the top two or three units in the NFL.
The Bills will have a big challenge next Monday night.
